Really special and rare late 1930s wool jacket.
There's an obvious nod to Schiaparelli in the abstract asymmetrical design impeccably executed in silk satin cord soutache on this gorgeous jacket.
Easily can go from a statement thrown on with jeans to part of a high fashion look incorporating this unusual and sturdy jacket.
The wool is a lovely fine herringbone weave so pristine its remarkable, particularly given its age.
Fabulous extra large velvet buttons.
Perfect shoulder pads built into the jacket. These are not separate as is more common. They're truly part of the structure of this piece and beneath the lining and molded to the jacket.

Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition
-two very tiny moth nibbles inside front buttonhole side jacket. Please refer to the last pic (coming shortly) to see the location and size.
-one 3" repaired straight tear to the thinner silky layer of the two layer lining. the lining is backed by what believe to be a soft wool and/or cotton blend, which is unmarred. Please refer to the next to last pic of the lining (coming shortly)
-Not exactly a flaw, but there is very minor wear to the lining at the underarms, however the lining is doubled here and finished beautifully, and it's absolutely wearable as is. As time passes there will come a point where you may wish to have the lining redone professionally, but that's to be expected at some point in the life of any garment, particularly one of this age and in an era when things were meant to last generations. The lining is there for ease of putting on and to protect the garment as well, which it does very well as it is now. Please refer to the next to the last photo for pics of the lining.(coming shortly)
