Charles and Patricia Lester micro pleated silk dress.
This amazing dress is lacking a label. However, it has been confirmed by Charles and Patricia Lester’s daughter recently who also confirmed it’s a “rare piece”.
I was stunned as I didn’t contact her for authentification, but she saw the dress on my instagram and messaged me about it. What a lovely and gracious person! I’ve been obsessed with this dress since I found it. Though it fits me, I’ve never worn it or had the chance to do so. The condition is pristine!
This dress is impossible to do justice to in photos, but more will be coming soon. This is the most remarkable black color, which may seem odd as it’s black, which isn’t typically though of as a remarkable color. Having been an artist my entire life and obsessed with the subtleties of color, I truly have never seen a more stunning black hand dyed fabric.
This dress is approximately a medium and only somewhat fitted around the bust. The rest of the dress is unlined hand micropleated hand dyed black silk.
The micropleated swirled and waved fabric affixed at the bust is a work of art on its own worthy of framing, and the entire dress is impeccably hand sewn couture.
